Report Writing Template#
The Report Writing Template is optimized to automatically identify the user’s requirements and the type of report, and to generate an outline and report with the most appropriate structure. It is designed to automatically produce a high-quality report tailored to the intended purpose, based on registered document resources.Through free-form conversation with the agent, you can flexibly proceed through the entire process, from report planning to drafting, structure refinement, and detailed revisions.
Step (Node) Descriptions#
| Item | Function | Node Type | Workflow Description |
|---|
| 1 | Identify report writing stage | LLM | Automatically determines the current stage in the report-writing process by referencing the conversation with the user. |
| | Variable Assignment | Stores the report status in the report_revise variable as either “New creation (NULL)” or “Revision (1)”. |
| | IF/ELSE | Branches the workflow into a new report creation flow or a report revision flow based on the stored status value. |
| 2 | Extract basic report information | LLM | When creating a new report, extracts the report type (report_type), topic (report_topic), purpose (report_purpose), and length (report_length) from the user’s query. |
| | Variable Assignment | Stores the four extracted elements into variables. |
| | IF/ELSE, LLM | If any of the four key elements are missing, prompts the user to provide the missing information. |
| 3 | Generate outline | LLM | Builds an outline based on the basic report information. The outline proceeds as three nodes: introduction, body, and conclusion. |
| | IF/ELSE | Allows the user to revise the outline until a satisfactory version is produced. Entering “Proceed” moves to the next step. |
| 4 | Data retrieval | RAG | Searches content from the learned knowledge base based on the generated outline. |
| 5 | Report writing | LLM | Writes the final report. |
| 6 | Report revision | LLM | If the “Identify report writing stage” node determines that this is a revision stage, revises the existing report content. |
Variable Descriptions#
The following information is stored from the user’s query and used in the final report generation.| Variable Name | Description |
|---|
report_revise | Whether the report is being revised |
report_type | Report type |
report_topic | Report topic |
report_purpose | Report purpose |
report_length | Report length |
Key Points by Step#
Notes#
When generating the final report using the current template, the output may be cut off midway if the LLM’s maximum token limit is exceeded. You can ask the agent to regenerate a specific section by entering a query such as “Please re-output part 00.” (An updated template that improves this limitation is planned for future release.)
To produce more detailed and higher-quality reports, sufficient relevant data must be pre-trained. If the agent detects that information required for report writing is insufficient, it automatically identifies underdeveloped sections and suggests additional information or data sources to supplement them. Please upload the suggested data to the “Knowledge” tab.
Usage Examples#
Generate a market analysis report after training the agent with market-related research papers and corporate reports
Create a proposal report that recommends internal technologies to clients after training with internal technical reports, introduction materials, and client information
Write an audit report based on verification results after training with validation data for a specific technology
