GET /v4/chat/refreshtoken

Refreshes the authentication token used specifically for the Kickbase chat service. This endpoint is distinct from the general user token refresh (POST /v4/user/refreshtokens) — it is scoped to the real-time chat subsystem and returns a short-lived token that authorises the client to connect to or continue a chat session.

Authentication

Requires a valid Bearer token in the Authorization header (inherited from the collection-level auth):

The {{token}} variable is set in the Kickbase v4 environment after a successful login via POST /v4/user/login.

No request body or query parameters are required.

Response

On success, the endpoint returns 200 OK with a JSON payload containing a refreshed chat token. The token should be used for subsequent chat-related requests within the /v4/chat/ namespace (e.g., league selection, user listing).

Notes

Call this endpoint when the chat token has expired or is about to expire to maintain an uninterrupted chat connection.

The returned token is separate from the main API Bearer token stored in {{token}}.

This endpoint was identified from decompiled Android sources as part of the Kickbase v4 API.
