Magic Link

The Magic Link feature in Altan enables users to securely send a link to external clients for authenticating third-party apps. This streamlined approach removes the need for clients to access your dashboard, making integrations seamless and efficient.

Where to Find the Magic Link#

You can generate and manage Magic Links from the Connections tab on the Integration Page. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1: Navigate to the Dynamic Island
In the Dynamic Island, select the option Create Connection to initiate a new integration.

Step 2: Select Connection Type
Choose the connection type (e.g., WhatsApp Business) from the dropdown list.

Step 3: Generate a Magic Link
After selecting the connection type, you’ll see the Copy Magic Link option. This link allows your client to authenticate the integration securely.

Step 4: (Optional) Add External ID
You can assign an External ID to the connection for tracking and identification purposes. This ID will be stored alongside the newly created connection for easy reference in the future.

Step 5: Copy and Share the Link
Click Copy Magic Link and share it with your customer. They can use this link to authenticate the connection without needing access to your dashboard. image.png
